Design of Quay Wall in Maryam Island
•Detailed Design of In-Situ Concrete Quay Wall
•Environmental Studies
•NOC and approvals
•Supervision of Construction
The Maryam Island Quay Wall project centers on the Detailed Design of an in-situ reinforced concrete quay wall, forming a key element of the island’s waterfront infrastructure. The design phase encompassed the development of structural, geotechnical, and durability solutions tailored to site-specific marine conditions.
Special attention was given to the optimization of wall geometry, reinforcement detailing, and construction methodology to ensure long-term stability and ease of maintenance. Advanced design tools and international standards were applied to achieve a balance between performance, constructability, and cost efficiency.
In addition to the detailed design, Bower and Octant provided environmental studies, authority coordination (NOCs and approvals), and technical supervision during execution, ensuring the project’s successful delivery within Sharjah’s coastal regulatory framework.
