B&O was commissioned to carry out comprehensive Feasibility and Structural Design Studies for the installation of 20-ton overhead cranes within an existing industrial facility at Drydocks World.
The study aimed to determine the structural adequacy of the existing framework and its capacity to safely accommodate new crane loads. Detailed analyses were conducted using advanced finite element modelling to evaluate beam deflection, connection strength, and column base performance under dynamic crane operations.
In parallel, the project included Electrical Design to assess the power requirements, routing of electrical ducts, and integration with the facility’s existing network.
The resulting feasibility report provided a clear technical basis for safe and cost-effective crane installation, combining engineering precision, operational practicality, and long-term structural reliability.
