Bower and Octant was engaged to strengthen and protect the shoreline of Delma Island through an integrated coastal engineering approach. The project involved comprehensive metocean and wave propagation studies to understand the island’s marine dynamics, followed by the design and detailing of revetments that ensure long-term shoreline stability and resilience.

In addition to the revetment works, the team developed an efficient stormwater free-drainage system, ensuring that surface runoff is safely discharged without impacting the coastal environment. All designs were supported with full authority NOC coordination and approvals, ensuring smooth project execution and compliance with local standards.

Through this combination of analytical studies and practical design solutions, B&O enhanced the island’s natural defenses — preserving its coastline while promoting environmental balance and sustainable development.
