The Bidyah Fisher Port Development project required comprehensive coastal and hydrodynamic studies to ensure the long-term stability and functionality of the port. Through detailed metocean analysis, wave transformation, hydrodynamic, and sediment transport modelling, the studies provided a clear understanding of how waves, currents, and sediments interact within the coastal environment.

These coastal studies were crucial in shaping the design of the revetments, groynes, and floating pontoons, ensuring protection against erosion, effective sediment management, and safe navigation. By accurately simulating both cyclonic and non-cyclonic conditions, the modelling work helped develop a resilient coastal infrastructure that can withstand extreme weather while maintaining environmental balance and supporting local marine activities.
