The project involved comprehensive coastal and environmental studies to ensure the safe and sustainable discharge of stormwater into the marine environment. Our team conducted advanced hydrodynamic modelling (MIKE 21 HD) and sediment plume dispersion simulations (MIKE 21 MT) to understand the water circulation, tidal influences, and potential impact on the surrounding coastal ecosystem.
Through CORMIX modelling, we analyzed the initial dilution and mixing behavior of the outfall to optimize its performance under varying flow conditions. Bathymetric and ADCP surveys were carried out to collect accurate seabed and current data, which formed the foundation for precise modelling and design validation.
These coastal studies were essential for minimizing environmental impacts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the EIA approval and environmental clearance for the project.
