The South Yard Development project at Dry Docks involved comprehensive supervision and technical support for the assessment and rehabilitation of existing marine infrastructure. The scope included detailed site inspections to evaluate the condition of berths and associated structures, identification of damages, and defining the client’s operational and structural requirements.

Bower and Octant’s team carried out a review to determine the remaining service life of the quay walls and prepared a Root Cause Analysis (RCA) report addressing the settlement of the block wall quay. The supervision scope also covered ongoing monitoring of construction activities to ensure adherence to design intent, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Through close coordination with Dry Docks management and contractors, the project ensured the stability, functionality, and long-term performance of critical marine assets within one of the UAE’s key industrial and ship repair hubs.
