Design of Quay Wall in Dry Docks – South Yard
• Site condition inspection
• Determining level of damage on the berths and infrastructure
• Defining the Client’s needs
• Determining of the service life of existing structures
• RCA report for the settlement of the block wall quay
• Supervision
As part of the South Yard Development at Dubai Dry Docks, our team was tasked with conducting a comprehensive assessment of existing marine infrastructure. The scope involved a detailed site condition inspection, focusing on the berths and quay walls to identify the level of structural damage and deterioration.
In parallel, we worked on defining the client’s operational needs and aligning them with long-term infrastructure requirements. The study also included determining the remaining service life of the existing facilities, supported by advanced structural evaluations and field investigations.
A key deliverable was the preparation of a specialized Root Cause Analysis (RCA) report, addressing settlement issues identified along the block wall quay. These findings provided the client with a clear technical basis for rehabilitation, strengthening, and future planning of critical marine assets, ensuring reliability and operational efficiency within one of the region’s most strategic dry dock facilities
